Obama Lacks Hope and Delivers Broken Promises

President Obama was elected largely because he promised hope and change. Since heâs taken office, there has been little offered in the way of either. Obamaâs administration lacks hope and only delivers broken promises.
Where is the hope? Obama has not inspired confidence among Americans. He frequently preaches doomâs day scenarios regarding nuclear proliferation, our dire economic situation and the environment. Americans need to be inspired by their president. So far this president has adopted a glass half empty mentality that encourages more fear and an absence of hope.
Obama âs campaign was defined by promises of change. During the campaign, he promised to âchange the way Washington worksâ countless times. Obama promised to end pork barrel spending and âearmarksâ but he signed a spending bill that contained 9,000 of them. He did acknowledge this contradiction. “I am signing an imperfect . . . bill,” Obama said, “because it’s necessary for the ongoing functions of government, and we have a lot more work to do. We can’t have Congress bogged down at this critical juncture in our economic recovery.”
Obama promised not to appoint lobbyists to work in his administration. Once elected, he ended up issuing waivers of his campaign policy for his deputy secretary of Defense and a senior official at the Treasury Department. How is this different than the way Washington has always worked?
Obama continues to disappoint.
Obama, Acorn, the Unions, and Mob Mentality all Tools for Communism

The news has been abuzz with criticisms of the mob mentality surrounding the peaceful Tax Day Tea Party protests; yet not long ago another mob was lightly praised in the Main Stream Media. The protests surrounding the AIG debacle were looked to with relative sympathy despite the death threats made to AIG executives and their families. Is it a sign of the times that populist mentality and mob mentality go hand in hand?
The mob surrounding the AIG executives went after their very own Frankensteinâs monster with pitchforks raised and ready to skewer what they saw as a danger to the common man. Every mob has a leader, the one who whispers from ear to ear stoking the fear and anger, but this mobâs leader was not a common man, but one above the populists. The leader was Barack Obama, by proxy the leader of the Democrats.
Obama has benefited by manipulation and the stoking of the mob mentality using his former association with ACORN. The Obama Administration first secured the bonuses for the AIG executives through language in bail out legislation. These bonuses were announced and an enraged public demanded action. While Timothy Geithner took the blunt of the tires as he was thrown under the bus, Obama in a move to either save face or reap the benefits of a calculated action, stormed over to meet with corporate executives. On his heels came the protests of a Union group, the Working Families Party, which was partly founded by ACORN.
During the meeting CEs reasoned with Obama saying that the bonuses were necessary to secure the best and the brightest in an international market. What came next shined a new and devious light on the situation. Rush Limbaugh and Politico then reported a rather disturbing statement from the very leader that gave AIG the bonuses for which they were now being attacked.
“Be careful. My administration is the only thing standing between you and the pitchforks,” said Obama.
The Democrats have notoriously been supported by Unions and Obama has been greatly involved in ACORN. The entire situation is an example of the deep manipulation done by the Obama administration through use of the mob. A mob that not only demands the hard earned money of others, but does so through the death of Capitalism as evidence by the signs at the AIG protests. âCapitalism is Organized Crime.â Ultimately the show of power set up AIG to fail so that the government could come in and gain control of a cornerstone of Wall Street.
The lesson here? The Obamassiah giveth and the Obamassiah taketh away.
Obamaisms

The last President of the United States gave Americans the gift of laughter on a weekly basis. Not one person in America is devoid of a favorite Bushism, whether real or parody. My favorites happen to be the parodies in the ads placed by Direct TV. My all time favorite is the invention of the word Decider. I like it, I use it. It is only fair that in these times of woe in America, that President Obama gives us quotes that make us laugh, cry, and burn with relative annoyance. Perhaps we should revisit them.
When a reporter asked Obama a foreign policy question while the then Presidential Candidate was visiting a diner in Pennsylvania, Obama responded, âWhy can’t I just eat my waffle?â These are the questions that haunt us! Why can a man not eat when he is hungry? When you gotta eat, you gotta eat!
In Beverton, Oregon we saw our dear Barack become mentally fatigued from a long campaign. To the astonishment of the nation he made a flub we thought was only possible by the group of people that pseudo-intellectuals on the left call âback water, in-bred, hicks.â To a large crowd at a campaign rally Obama confessed, âI have now been in 57 states â I think one left to go.â 57 States! Did America conquer more land than is currently apparent? Or are we just counting Canada and Europe into the fold?
And who can forget this little diddy? “On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”
I see dead peopleâŠ
On the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, President Obama took a break from real work to participate in some more campaigning. Like all campaigning, it had a chance to take a turn for the worst and did! In a flippant remark meant to be humorous Obama compared his ineptitude in bowling to the performance of a peer at the Special Olympics. “No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.” Most of us heartless conservatives probably laughed at that joke, it is a common one. However a few of the more sensitive Americans had to pick their jaws off of the floor. It is a good thing a representative for the Special Olympics had a sense of humor. Apparently Obama sucks worse than the special bowlers who were said to be able to teach him a thing or two.
Of course these are just a taste of what is to come. Obama clearly will be full of delightful Obamaisms in the next four years. Let us just hope he isnât still making them in eight years.
International Arms Control Treaty Faces Opposition From American Gun Owners

During President Obamaâs recent visit to Mexico, he announced his intention to revive efforts to pass an international arms control treaty which failed to pass the senate during Clintonâs Presidency. According to ABC News,
The treaty makes the unauthorized manufacture and exporting of firearms illegal and calls for nations in this hemisphere to establish a process for information-sharing among different countries’ law enforcement divisions to stop the smuggling of arms, to adopt strict licensing requirements, and to make firearms easier to trace.
The ratification of this treaty is quite politically charged, as many American Citizens oppose it on the grounds that it will be used to restrict their second amendment right to bear arms. According to an article published by the Gun Owners of America, many are concerned that the interpretation of the language in the treaty could eventually be used to impose severe limitations on those who legally own weapons in the United States. Here are a few of their concerns about ways the broad language could be interpreted by opponents of gun-ownership:
1. âIllicit manufacturingâ of firearms is defined as âassembly of firearms [or] ammunition… without a license….â Hence, reloading ammunition⊠putting together a lawful firearm from a kit⊠[or] [m]odifying a firearm in any way would surely be âillicit manufacturingâŠ.â
2. â[A]ny other weaponâ is a âfirearm,â according to the treaty — and the term âweaponâ is nowhere definedâŠ
* Banning gun clubs. Article IV [states] that the criminalized acts should include âassociation or conspiracyâ in connection with said offenses — which is arguably a term broad enough to allow, by regulation, the criminalization of entire pro-gun organizations or gun clubs, based on the facilities which they provide their membership.
* Extraditing US gun dealers. Article V requires each party to âadopt such measures as may be necessary to establish its jurisdiction over the offenses it has established in accordance with this Conventionâ under a variety of circumstances⊠And we know that we have an extradition obligation under Article XIX of the proposed treaty. SoâŠMexico could try to use the treaty to demand to extradition of American gun dealers…
* Microstamping. Article VI requires âappropriate markingsâ on firearms. And, it is not inconceivable that this provision could be used to⊠impose specifications which are not technologically possible or which are possible only at a prohibitively expensive cost.
* Gun registration. Article XI requires the maintenance of any records… that the government determines to be necessary to trace firearms. This provision would almost certainly repeal portions of McClure-Volkmer and could arguably be used to require a national registry or database.
Most of the guns owned by the large Mexican drug cartels have been smuggled in by the United States, according to Mexican Authorities. But, this statement has also been refuted. According to an ATF Spokesman interviewed by Fox News, “a large percentage of the guns recovered in Mexico do not get sent back to the U.S. for tracing because it is obvious from their markings that they do not come from the U.S.” This conclusion was also reached by FactCheck.org.
Undoubtedly something must be done to stop this from continuing. However, we must also be careful how much power we give the government, to avoid compromising the constitutional rights of the citizens of the United States. This is a delicate political issue that the Obama administration and Congress should approach with caution, and weigh the voices of both sides carefully, always remembering that they are here to serve the best interests of people of the United States who have put them into power.
“Vanilla” Change

I am so glad that Obama plans to make sure that “Every credit card issuer has to issue a plain vanilla easy-to-understand, simplest possible credit card…that the average user can feel comfortable with.” After all, the butterscotch crunch version was so hard to understand!
Sure, there needs to be reform. That’s okay as long as I can charge whatever I want and have the tax payer pay for it, just like my mortgage. I think I may just go out and buy some new furniture today so that I can be sure that everyone else in the country can pay for it.
Do I think that perhaps there may be some issues with loopholes in the credit card company policies within every credit card company in the US? Perhaps. However, have people been taking advantage of the system? Of course they have.
What do you bet that the new legislation will help those who have taken advantage of the system, over spending and then being irresponsible when paying their bills. Let me give it to you in the “vanilla” version. They buy and then don’t pay. I know it’s hard to understand for us “average” people.
There is an argument that the policies may reduce the amount of credit offered to lower-income individuals. Wouldn’t that be just too bad? I mean, everyone should have the same stuff in the same amounts shouldn’t they? Differences in the way people live are highly over-rated anyway. People should get paid the same no matter what job they get income, right? Doctor-Fast Food Grill Cook. It’s all the same, right? I hope the legislation comes down that we all have to drive the same battery powered cars, wear the same uniform colors, and that we must bow down to the Obama-God so that we don’t have to think for ourselves and therefore don’t have any consequences for our actions.
Amen.
